Man killed when car rolls off ramps onto him

MARTIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- A family member has set up an online fundraiser for James Brandon Preece, who was killed while working on his car Wednesday.

The GoFundMe page is raising money for Preece’s funeral.

The organizer, Jim Fitch, wrote:

“Help a loving woman and her grandchildren in their time of need.

This go fund me has been set up for my Aunt Sarah Preece and her grandson’s who recently lost their father tragically on the evening of May 26. As many of you may know, the boys recently lost their mother…Heather, in September. We are asking for the community’s help regarding funeral expenses. Help us find hope in their hurt. Eternally grateful for your contribution.

Sarah and Mike will be in charge of these donations.”

MARTIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ/WCHS) – A Martin County, Ky., man was killed Wednesday after a vehicle he was working on rolled off its ramps and trapped him.

Officials said James Brandon Preece, 39, was killed while working on his car.

The incident happened about 3 p.m. Wednesday near the community of Beauty, Ky.

Preece was pronounced dead at the scene.
