Man Killed In Casey County Collision

Kentucky State Police said a man died in a car crash last night in Casey County.

Officers said it happened around 7:30 p.m. just two miles north of Liberty on US 127.

They said the driver of a 2011 Nissan, Clifton Hale, 53, dropped the vehicle off the roadway.

According to officers, Hale crossed a creek and struck a tree.

Police said Hale was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, but his passenger Jesse Monday, 83, died at the hospital.

The collision is still under investigation.
