Man killed in crash on Newtown Pike

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Police in Lexington are investigating a crash that killed one and injured another Friday night.

The two-vehicle crash happened around 11:45 on Newtown Pike at the I-75 intersection.

Police say they believe a road sweep truck was exiting I-75 north and turned left onto Newtown Pike when it collided with an SUV.

The Fayette County Coroner says the driver of the SUV, 35-year-old Vincent Farr, died on the scene.

Police say his passenger was taken to the hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
