Man involved in death of Richmond police officer arrested again
RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – The man accused of driving an accused cop killer to a gas station to commit a robbery is back behind bars.
Carl Lee Banks pleaded guilty last July to wanton endangerment for driving Raleigh Sizemore Jr. to a Richmond gas station where he attempted to rob a motorist.
Investigators say Richmond Police officer Daniel Ellis tracked Sizemore down to an apartment after the robbery, where Sizemore shot and killed him.
On Wednesday, Richmond Police say they responded to a home on Boggs Lane, where Banks mother told them he had been holding her against her will.
Police say she said Banks had been holding her against her will since he was released from jail on January 15.
Banks is charged with assault, unlawful imprisonment, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal mischief.
Police say Banks was also served with a parole violation warrant for failure to report to a parole officer resulting from his wanton endangerment and robbery conviction last year.
