Man injured in early-morning fire in Boyle County
DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Boyle County firefighters pulled a man from a burning apartment Wednesday morning.
The City of Danville Fire Department says neighbors called around 2:45 a.m. about a fire at an apartment complex on Nokomis Street.
They arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from one of the apartments.
They were told there may be a man inside the apartment.
Firefighters were able to get the man out.
They say he was unconscious and was airlifted to the University of Louisville hospital.
He condition is unknown.
Firefighters say the fire started in the man’s apartment.
They don’t yet know a cause of the fire.
The other five apartments in the complex had minor smoke damage.
