Man In Custody After Escaping Fayette County Jail

An inmate who didn’t return to jail after being temporaly released on a funeral pass is back in custody, officials said.

Joshua Grubbs, 33, an inmate of the Fayette County Detention Center, was released at 2 p.m. on Friday. Grubbs was supposed to return later that day, at 8 p.m., but never did, court documents said.

Police found Grubbs about 24-hours later in the 100 block of General Delivery. He’s charged with 2nd Degree Escape.
