Man Hit By Train Identified

The Fayette County Coroner says a train hit and killed 55-year-old Morris LaGrone last night around nine near Georgetown and Mercer Roads.

The conductor says he saw the man on the tracks and blew the whistle; but before LaGrone could move out of the way; the train hit him.

Police say they’re still not sure why LaGrone was on the tracks.
