Man gets 20 years in prison in 3-month-old son’s death
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) – A Roundhill man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after authorities say he admitted to causing his infant son’s death.
The Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/1QsKN3t ) 28-year-old Jonathan Dale Waters pleaded guilty Tuesday in Warren Circuit Court to first-degree manslaughter and second-degree criminal abuse.
Authorities say Water’s 3-month-old son died in October 2013 at a Vanderbilt hospital, two days after being taken to The Medical Center, where he arrived unresponsive. Authorities say at the time of the incident, Waters was caring for the child at a home.
Authorities say the child died from a blow to the head and also suffered fractures to his clavicles, a foot and two ribs.
The indictment accused Waters of wantonly abusing the child between July 2013 and October 2013.
