Man found guilty of shooting neighbor in face
WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Versailles man has been found guilty after prosecutors say he shot his neighbor in the face during an argument over loud music.
According to police, a jury convicted 68-year-old Paul Wilson following a three-day trial. Investigators say the shooting happened in 2022 during a dispute between neighbors.
Officials say Wilson fired at close range, striking the victim in the face. Police say the victim survived but suffered life-changing injuries as a result of the shooting.
Court officials say Wilson is scheduled to be sentenced April 1. The jury has recommended a sentence of six and a half years in prison, according to authorities.
