Man facing multiple charges in deadly ATV crash

STANTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky State Police say a Powell County man has been arrested following a deadly ATV crash.

Troopers say 32-year-old Shawn Cornett is charged with reckless homicide, ATV violations, and operating without a license.

Investigators say Cornett was driving an ATV when he lost control and it overturned. His passenger, 29-year-old Ashley Plowman, was killed in the crash.

Cornett was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to KSP. The investigation remains ongoing.
