Man faces arson charge following weekend fire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police say a man confessed to starting a fire at a Lexington home over the weekend.

Court documents say 18-year-old Daniel Prather broke into a vacant home on Ohio Street early Sunday morning.

Documents say, once inside, Prather set a fire.

Witnesses reported seeing Prather at the home earlier in the day, according to documents.

Police say Prather admitted to starting the fire, which caused significant damage, but gave many different stories on how he actually started it.

He is charged with arson.
