Man faces animal torture charges after allegedly stabbing stranger’s dog in the head
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Animal Care and Control officials say they’ve charged 20-year-old Dominic Kinnel with animal torture.
Kinnel is accused of stabbing a dog in the head Monday night on Deweese Street.
According to investigators, the dog’s owner was out walking the dog on a leash when Kinnel allegedly came up from behind and attacked.
Officials say the dog has multipl staple but is doing okay.
Meanwhile, the Fayette County Detention Center shows Kinnel was arrested Tuesday and is also facin other charges including terroristic threatening, resisting arrest and criminal mischief.
He is scheduled for an arraignment Wednesday, March 12.
