Man drives into building after police wake him

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A video of police officers beating the windows of a car near South Upper Street in Lexington is getting a lot of attention on social media this weekend.

UK Police Chief Joe Monroe says officers got a call about someone passed out on Winslow.

Police tried to get the driver’s attention. Just when they were breaking the windows, he woke up and drove straight across the street into a building.

He was arrested on several charges including DUI.
