Man and dog safe after Lexington house fire
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man and his dog are safe Monday night, following a house fire on St. Christopher Dr.
According to the Lexington Fire Department, working smoke detectors could be the reason why the man and his pet were able to get out of the home after a fire started in the basement.
They say the fire started around 8 p.m. on Monday evening, and they are not sure of a cause.
Firefighters report the home is not a complete loss, but the residents will be unable to stay there for a while.
