Man Dies In Rollover Crash
A man was pronounced dead on the scene of a rollover crash in Lexington early Tuesday morning.
It happened around 1 a.m. on Old Richmond Road, near Clover Creek.
Firefighters said the man was travelling outbound when his pickup truck left the roadway and drove along a ditch for several hundred feet.
According to firefighters, when the man tried to get back on the roadway, he hit a tree and flipped.
The driver was trapped inside the truck when crews arrived. They said after they cut him from the wreckage, he was pronounced dead.
Firefighters said it appeared the man was not wearing a seatbelt.
Investigators said it is still too early to know what caused the crash.
Officials have not released the name of the driver.
