Man dies in Franklin County house fire

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – An autopsy is being preformed today on the body of a man, who officials say died in a Thursday morning (4/11) fire.

Franklin County Coroner William Harrod says the man was pronounced dead just after noon Thursday, and that his death appears to be a result of the fire. Harrod says they are working to identify the victim, whose body was found at the residence in the 1400 block of Bald Knob Road.

Fire officials are investigating the cause of the flames. It’s not clear how much of the house was consumed by the fire.
