Man dies in apartment fire

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Fire officials are investigating a deadly blaze at a Louisville apartment building.

Media report one man died in the blaze late Monday in the Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood. Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the apartment and later found the man’s body inside.

Investigators said it appears that food left on the stove started the blaze.

The fire damage was limited to one apartment, though everyone who lives there was evacuated.
