Man dies from injuries after New Year’s Day ATV crash
LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A man has died following an ATV crash north of London, according to an updated release from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators say the crash happened around 6:43 p.m. Thursday, about nine miles north of London near the Callahan Falls area. Deputies believe an ATV overturned and went into a creek.
The sheriff’s office says the driver was seriously injured and was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The Laurel County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 55-year-old Michael Strong of Paris, Kentucky. Coroner Doug Bowling has ordered an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.
The investigation remains ongoing.
