Man arrested for shooting into a Versailles apartment

VERSAILLES, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man has been arrested in connection with an apartment shooting Wednesday night in Versailles, according to police.

Police say officers were called to Macy Avenue on December 5 around 7 p.m. for gun shots.

After investigating, officers say 19-year-old Jacob Uttinger was arrested for firing shots into the apartment from the outside.

Police say Uttinger tried to drive away after the shooting, but was caught within a couple hours.

According to police, officers are also investigating a break-in at another apartment during the same incident.

Police say no one was hurt.

Uttinger is charged with wanton endangerment 1st.
