Man charged in kidnapping of missing Kentucky teen due in Maryland court

ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A man charged in the kidnapping of a Kentucky teenager who was reported missing for months is due in court Monday in Maryland.

According to jail records, 37-year-old Christian Delgado is scheduled for a hearing at 1 p.m. as he awaits extradition to Kentucky on kidnapping charges.

As previously reported, authorities say Delgado was arrested Friday at a home in Maryland after investigators received a tip that 13-year-old Wynter Wagoner was inside the residence.

Wagoner had been reported missing since October from Rockcastle County. The Rockcastle County Sheriff’s Office says she is now safe.

Police say Wagoner was taken to a hospital for evaluation after she was found in the home with Delgado.

Officials say the investigation into the case is ongoing.
