Man charged in downtown London law office fire appears in court

LONDON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A man charged in connection with a downtown London fire that damaged two law offices appeared in court Wednesday.

Scottie Seeley is charged with burglary and arson in the case involving a fire at the Cunnagin & Cunnagin and Benge & Cesna law offices, located near the Laurel County Courthouse.

During Wednesday’s court appearance, the judge set Seeley’s bond at $100,000 cash. Court records show that if Seeley posts bond, he will be placed under house arrest.

Seeley’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 20.
