Man attempts vehicle theft near UK campus

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police are searching for a suspect they say tried to steal a man’s truck near the University of Kentucky campus Tuesday morning.

According to police, a man was sitting in his truck on American Avenue when another man approached him, holding what appeared to be a gun.

Police say that man tried to steal the victim’s vehicle before fleeing.

Police are searching for, and working to identify, the suspect.
