Man arrested in three-year-old burglary cases
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police have arrested a man they say was responsible for two burglaries in Lexington back in 2013.
Court documents say 33-year-old Joseph Johnson was behind a burglary at the Patchen Pub on Patchen Drive and the Chop House on Richmond Road on March 9, 2013.
Police say in both robberies, Johnson broke a glass window to get inside and took money from the register.
According to documents, Johnson cut himself while breaking the glass and he left blood evidence at the scenes.
The evidence was sent to the Kentucky State Police laboratory and was found to be a match to Johnson, police say.
Johnson is charged with two counts of burglary.
