Man arrested on gun and drug trafficking charges in Knox County
CANNON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A southern Kentucky man is facing multiple gun and drug trafficking charges after a search at his home in Knox County.
According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Department, deputies arrested 57-year-old David Barnes on Tuesday at his residence on C. Mills Road in the Cannon community.
Investigators say deputies found suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, digital scales, a loaded shotgun and a handgun inside the home. Authorities believe the items were connected to drug trafficking activity.
Barnes was taken into custody and is now facing multiple charges related to drugs and firearms. The sheriff’s department has not released additional details about the investigation.
