Man arrested on drug trafficking charges in Scott County

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A Georgetown traffic stop early Thursday led to the arrest of a man now facing drug trafficking charges.

According to police, officers pulled over 50-year-old Jesus Gutierrez-Castillo in a pickup truck and discovered individually wrapped packages of suspected cocaine, along with a large amount of cash.

Gutierrez-Castillo was arrested at the scene and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
