Man arrested on kidnapping, assault charges
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man is accused of kidnapping and assaulting his ex-girlfriend and pushing a Lexington police officer.
According to court documents, 29-year-old Jonathan Hunter’s ex-girlfriend had a protective order against him when he entered her home illegally Thursday.
Police said Hunter held her captive and assaulted her for 2 1/2 hours. When he fell asleep, they said she escaped and called police.
When the officer arrived at the home on Hisle Way, he told Hunter he was under arrest.
The officer said that’s when Hunter pushed him and ran off. He was quickly caught in the backyard of the home.
Hunter is charged with burglary, kidnapping, assault, stalking, resisting arrest, violation of a protective order and fleeing and evading police.
