Man arrested for intentionally trying to harm his wife
CORBIN, Ky. (WTVQ)- A Laurel County man is behind bars, accused of intentionally crashing into a car carrying his wife and a 17-year-old girl.
According to the sheriff’s department Derek McHargue intentionally rammed the car on Monday around 2:30 on Horse Creek Road in Corbin.
McHargue’s wife and the 17-year-old girl were both hurt and taken to the hospital.
Deputies say the women told them McHargue had threatened to kill them.
He ran off before deputies arrived, but a day later they say he called the sheriff’s office twice and threatened to kill all the deputies that work there.
Then on Wednesday, Corbin police arrested McHargue who faces several charges including domestic violence and 60 counts of terroristic threatening for all the employees he reportedly threatened at the sheriff’s office.
