Man arrested in Montgomery County after multi-county chase
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — A man is in custody after leading police on a multi-county chase that stretched through Fayette, Madison, Clark and Montgomery counties.
According to police, Daeoriontrelles Hurt — who already had several outstanding warrants — is now facing a long list of new charges, including speeding, drug possession, and fleeing or evading police.
Officers say the chase began Wednesday afternoon when Hurt was spotted driving a white car on Boonesboro Road in Lexington. A police helicopter tracked him as he drove toward Clark County.
Winchester police say Hurt continued onto I-64, where the pursuit finally ended in Montgomery County after officers deployed stop sticks.
Hurt was arrested at the scene and is being held on multiple charges.
