Man arrested for seeking minor online

45-year-old Own P. Taylor was arrested on Tuesday, May 26 by State Police Electronic Crime Branch. State police report the arrest was due to charges related to using technology for finding a minor/police officer for sex.

The KSP Electronic Crime Branch says it began its investigation after the suspect was found posting about his interest in performing sexual acts with a minor, on a popular website.

Officials report the undercover investigation resulted in a search warrant for Taylor’s residence. Equipment reportedly used for Taylor’s communications were seized in the evening of May 26 by KSP.

State police say Taylor is currently being charged with one count of the Class-D felony; prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor/police officer for sex.

Investigation is ongoing.
