Man Arrested For Robbery May Be Linked To Other Robberies

Two people have been arrested after an armed robbery near London.

The sheriff’s department says is happened Tuesday night around 8:00 when a lone gunman wearing pantyhose over his face and carrying a pistol took some money from Brock’s Tobacco Store and left in a maroon Trail Blazer driven by a woman.

Deputies say they got the license plate number from a witness and found the SUV at a grocery store in Lily where they arrested the driver, 46-year-old Darla McCormick.

Investigators say they found 32-year-old Shawn Stehlin, the man they believed robbed the tobacco store, under a bed at his mother’s house in Lily.

Detectives say they found the money at the home where they found Stehlin and the gun along KY 1189.

According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Department, Stehlin is also a suspect in other crimes including the attempted robbery of Wildcat Tobacco Store in London.

Stehlin and McCormick were both taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
