Man arrested after SUV/Moped hit-and-run
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – London Police report the arrest of 44 year old James Cromer, after Officers say he left the scene of a serious accident.
On Sunday, March 6th, police responded to an injury accident involving a luxury SUV and a moped, at approximately 5:30 p.m. on KY-192.
When officers arrived, they found the SUV had left the scene. The vehicle was found a short time later at a home on Gold Pond Drive. Cromer was found to be the driver, and was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a serious injury accident without giving assistance, and first-degree assault.
In the mean time, the operator of the moped was treated at the scene, and transported to UK Medical center with life-threatening injuries. London Police say the victim is currently in critical condition.
