Man arrested after six hour barricade situation
RICHMOND, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Richmond Police say a man is in custody following a six-hour standoff at a home on Drayton Place.
According to police, the standoff began around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday after officers responded to a reported domestic situation. When they arrived, they say the man barricaded himself inside the home. His wife was able to get out safely.
Police say the man refused to come out for hours, but the standoff ended peacefully just after midnight with help from the department’s Crisis Negotiation Team.
No injuries were reported. The suspect’s identity has not been released. Charges are pending.
