Police: Man left scene of wreck

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) — On October 3 at 1:35 a.m., London police responded to a complaint of a collision on south 1-75.

According to the report, 33 year old Micah O. Lankford had been involved in a collision, but continued to head south on 1-75. He was followed by a witness for approximately 5 miles, where he was located by officers.

According to the report, when Sgt. Eric Wilkerson approached the vehicle, he discovered 2.6 grams of marijuana inside the vehicle, along with two smoking pipes and an open container of alcohol.

Lankford was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to render aid or assistance, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs (second degree), two counts of possession of marijuana, possession of an open alcoholic container in a motor vehicle, and for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lankford was lodged in the laurel county Detention Center.
