Man arrested after a deadly shooting in Owen County

OWEN COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Kentucky State Police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened early Saturday near the Monterey community.

Troopers say they found 26-year-old Jamar Douglas of Louisville unconscious with multiple gunshot wounds around 2 a.m. He was flown to the University of Kentucky Hospital, where he died early Sunday morning.

Investigators say 52-year-old Gary Bullion of Ghent is accused of shooting Douglas. Bullion has been charged with murder and several drug-related offenses. He is being held at the Carroll County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
