Man arrested for 4th DUI offense
LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Deputies were dispatched to locate a possible drunk driver Wednesday afternoon.
Dispatch reported calls from witnesses of a white colored Jeep Cherokee in a ditch near Hazel Green school off KY 490, about 10 miles north of London.
The responding deputy arrested 62 year-old Boyd Barger of Hyden, Kentucky for being under the influence.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office reports that Barger was so intoxicated that he needed assistance from the deputy to get into the police unit and the Sheriff’s office.
Boyd Barger is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence- fourth offense, as well as reckless driving, careless driving, and failure to wear a seatbelt.
He was taken to the Laurel County Detention Center
