Man airlifted to UK Hospital after moped accident

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man was airlifted to UK Hospital in Lexington Tuesday afternoon after being thrown from his moped in a crash in Fleming County, according to State Police.

Investigators say 60-year old Charles Lewis, of Wallingford, was driving a moped eastbound on Wooley Road, when he lost control, left the road and hit an embankment, throwing him from the vehicle.

State Police say Lewis was listed in stable condition.
