Man accused of shooting between wife’s feet, her car radiator
LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 46-year-old Laurel County man is accused of firing a handgun twice between his wife’s feet and then shooting the radiator in her car during a domestic dispute Saturday afternoon.
The man, Jason Hoskins, is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, fourth-degree assault, and terroristic threats following his arrest at about 3 p.m. on East Park Subdivision Road about four miles south of London, according to Laurel County Sheriff John Root.
Laurel Sheriff’s K-9 Deputy Gary Mehler along with deputies Jamie Etherton and Daniel Reed responded to a domestic disturbance call and discovered the woman’s husband, identified as Hoskins, pointed a pistol at her chest and then pulled the pistol down shooting two times between her feet, the sheriff said.
The woman ran next-door to her mother-in-law’s residence and upon returning to her home, found Hoskins had apparently shot the radiator of her car. The victim stated as she began backing out of the driveway, she heard her husband fire again, the sheriff stated in a Facebook post on the department’s Facebook page.
When deputies arrived, they saw Hoskins throw something on the ground. They recovered a Ruger semi- automatic pistol with magazine inserted and a round chambered, according to the sheriff.
