Man accused of terroristic threatening Halloween display due in court
STANTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Powell County man accused of using a Halloween display to threaten government officials is due back in court for a preliminary hearing.
According to court records, 58-year-old Stephan Marcum is facing charges of terroristic threatening and intimidating a witness.
Kentucky State Police said Marcum was arrested on October 4 after investigators discovered what appeared to be threatening Halloween decorations — including body bags — in his yard near the intersection of Court Street and North Main Street in Stanton.
KSP said the decorations indicated a perceived threat toward government officials.
Marcum pleaded not guilty during his arraignment on Monday.
