Man Accused Of Robbing Pepsi Driver In Laurel Co.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office said that a man robbed a Pepsi employee who was refilling a soda machine.

Deputies were called Wednesday morning to Emma Apartments on Robert E Cox Road in Corbin.

According to investigators, a man who lived in the apartment complex had tried to grab the Pepsi worker’s money bag.

After the two men reportedly scuffled, deputies said the suspect took off running.

The Sheriff’s Office said that he was later spotted on the side of I-75.

Investigators said the suspect then ran off again, and was later taken into custody after a brief struggle with deputies.

Roger Ramey was arrested on several charges including robbery, fleeing or evading police and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Investigators said Ramey was also wanted in Bell County for failing to appear in court and in Knox County for fleeing or evading police.
