Man accused in child’s stabbing death appears in court

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Ronald Exantus, the man accused in the stabbing death of young Logan Tipton back in December of 2015, made his first physical appearance in court since January on Wednesday.

Exantus was arrested after reportedly breaking into a home, taking a kitchen knife, and fatally stabbing the boy.  Exantus has stated that he doesn’t have any recollection of what happened.

The court is waiting for an evaluation from the state to see if he can stand trial.  Exantus just returned from a psych facility on Tuesday.

A court date has been set for June 1.  A trial is not expected to happen until mid- to late 2017 at the earliest.
