Madness made huge impact during Kahlil Whitney’s recruitment

LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ) – UK freshman forward Kahlil Whitney committed to Kentucky last August, but he said he wouldn’t sign until May.
That made a lot of Solid Blue fans nervous.
Whitney would keep his word and sign in May, but why the delay?
Whitney played his high school ball in New Jersey, but was born in Chicago.
Whitney wanted to wait until the season was over so he could travel back home and sign at his old school.
This was meant to be an inspiration to kids of inner-city Chicago.
While Solid Blue fans were nervous, Whitney’s recruiting visit to Big Blue Madness sealed the deal.
In the video, hear from Whitney on the impact of Madness.
