Madison Southern HS student dies after being stung

BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Madison Southern High School student died Monday after being stung by a bee or wasp.

The Madison Co. Coroner says EMS brought 17-year-old Austin Boggs, a senior at the school, to Berea Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The coroner has not concluded that the sting was the cause of death.

The Community Education Director of Madison County Schools has released a statement, saying, “Today is a difficult day for our school system and Madison Southern High School in particular.
