Madison County rescue crew trains for new equipment

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- With the ongoing risk of flooding around the area, one rescue team is taking action.

The Madison County Rescue Squad is preparing members to safely use new swift water rescue equipment. The squad will be receiving this equipment over the next few months.

These training exercises are being done at the Telford YMCA Aquatic Center in Richmond. The squad is getting the new equipment with grants from the Department of Homeland Security.
