Madison County Man Charged With Murder After New Year’s Accident

Nearly four weeks after a New Year’s night accident in Richmond, a man has been charged with murder.

Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies said they believe Caleb Aldridge of Richmond was driving the car that went off 4 Mile Road in the early hours of January 1st.

The car flipped, ejecting all 3 people inside and killing Chelsea Harnack, according to investigators.

Deputies said the third person in the car was Amber Heller.

Aldridge was arrested at his home January 27th and charged with murder, DUI, and assault.

According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, the charges took nearly 4 weeks to allow for a thorough investigation.

Investigators said they were not able to talk with Heller until 2 weeks after the accident due to her serious injuries.
