Madison Co. School Bus Slides Off Road
Kentucky State Police say slippery roads caused a Madison County school bus to slide off the road. Investigators say Bus 194 was on the way to Kirksville Elementary on KY 1295. The driver told police he started to feel the rear of the bus lose traction. Investigators say that’s when the bus slid off the road, went over an embankment, and finally crashed into a fence.
According to police, there were 20 students on the bus at the time of the accident. No injuries were reported. The bus driver, per Madison County Schools policy, was taken to the hospital for a drug screening.
