RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – A report of a man walking with a gun along nearby railroad tracks prompted Madison County school leaders to put Daniel Boone Elementary and Madison Central High School on lockdown as a precaution, according to the Richmond Register.

The Madison Central lockdown applies to staff because students are doing virtual instruction and aren’t at school.

The railroad tracks run near the school campuses, which are across Red House Road from each other.
