Luggage Drive Aims To Help Kids In Foster Care Thrive

Many children that come into foster care come with little to no possessions, and, in many cases, what they do have is stuffed in shopping or trash bags. Benchmark Family Services is trying to change that.

According to the foster car agency these kids can move from “home” to “home” carrying their “life” in what many of us only put our trash in.

In a release, Benchmark says donating new or gently used back packs, duffle bags, or suitcases can give these children something to call their own and a sense of self respect most of us take for granted.

During the month of April, National Child Abuse Prevention month, Benchmark is holding a luggage drive for the children in their care.

You can bring your luggage donation to one of Benchmark Family Services’ Central Kentucky locations:
