LSC names new USL Championship head coach

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Lexington Sporting Club has named Masaki “Mac” Hemmi as their next head coach of the USL Championship team.

Hemmi served as head coach for Lexington SC’s Gainbridge Super League team since the start of the 2025/26 season. In 12 matches, Hemmi has led the LSC women to an undefeated five wins, zero losses and seven draws and are in first place in league standings.

The coaching transition will go into effect during the Gainbridge Super League’s winter break.

His assistant coach, Kosuke Kimura has been named the new head coach of LSC’s Gainbridge Super League team.
