LPD: Woman shoplifted a nearly $1,000 necklace in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Investigators with the Lexington Police Department are hoping the public can help identify a woman they say stole a white gold necklace from a local jewelry store.
Officers say it happened around 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Farmer’s Jewelry on Euclid Avenue. According to police, the woman asked to see several necklaces, and then switched one out with a necklace she was wearing.
Police say the necklace was a white gold rope chain valued at $995 dollars.

According to officers, the woman left the store before an employee noticed.
Anyone who can identify the woman is asked to call Lexington police at (859) 258-3600. Anonymous tips, including photos and videos, can be submitted by texting LEXPD plus the tip to CRIMES (274637). Information can also be sent anonymously through Bluegrass Crime Stoppers at (859) 253-2020 or www.bluegrasscrimestoppers.com. A cash reward from Crime Stoppers is available for information leading to an arrest in this case.
