LPD: Two men accused of riding around, firing gun in the air
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say two men, including a convicted felon, rode around Monday afternoon in a pickup truck firing a gun indiscriminately in the air.
Investigators say fortunately no one was hit and no property was damaged.
Police say they received reports of two men firing a gun out of a pickup on Addison Avenue. Nearby officers quickly found the pickup and arrested the two men inside.
They were identified as 44-year old Gary Antone, Jr and 48-year old Douglas Becksted II, according to police.
Investigators say Becksted is a convicted felon, so in addition to wanton endangerment and receiving stolen property (firearm) charges that both men face, he’s also charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Both men were lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.
